Files

Files is Pace's private, web-based file storage — upload, organize, and share company files without a third-party cloud storage subscription.

Overview

Files is powered by FileBrowser, a lightweight web file manager. Think of it like a private, company-owned version of a cloud drive: folders and files you can open from any browser, upload to, download from, and share with teammates or outside collaborators — but hosted on infrastructure your company controls, rather than a third-party consumer cloud storage service.

You access Files at {tenant}.pacehq.io/files, and your Pace SSO login signs you in automatically — no separate account or app to install. The interface will look familiar if you've used any file manager before: a folder tree on one side, file listings in the main area, and drag-and-drop upload support.

Files works well for company documents that need a shared home — policy PDFs, spreadsheets, design assets, or anything your team currently emails back and forth or keeps in a personal cloud drive account.

First-run walkthrough

  1. Open Files from your dashboard. Log in to Pace and click the Files tile.

  2. Look around the file browser. You'll see a folder structure on the left and file listings in the main panel. New workspaces typically start with a few starter folders.

  3. Create your first folder. Click New → Folder, name it (e.g., "Contracts" or "Marketing Assets"), and press Enter.
  4. Upload a file. Drag a file from your computer directly into the browser window, or click Upload and choose a file from the picker.

  5. Open or preview a file. Click any file name to preview it (for supported types like images and PDFs) or download it to your computer.
