A secure ops layer for small law firms
Solo and small firms drown in Slack threads, shared password messes, DocuSign invoices, and Dropbox folders. Pace is the private ops layer underneath practice — not your practice management system.
What Pace is for a firm
- Messages — internal team communication
- Vault — shared credentials without the spreadsheet
- Sign — client documents without a separate seat tax
- Files — matter files in the same tenant
What Pace is not (read this)
- Not Clio, MyCase, or any practice management / billing suite
- Not trust accounting
- Not LEDES / e-billing
- Not a HIPAA platform claim and not a BAA marketing promise on this page
If you need those systems, keep them. Pace sits beside them as Messages + Vault + Sign + Files with per-company pricing and tenant isolation.
Who should not use Pace
- You need a certified legal PMS first, not ops tools
- You require a signed BAA before any vendor conversation — we are not advertising that here
- You need court e-filing integrations Pace has not published
FAQ
Is Pace built only for law firms?
No. Law firms are an ICP for the secure ops wedge. The same Operate apps serve other small professional teams.
Do you store evidence / DMS?
Files is company file storage — not a full legal DMS with retention policies we have not documented as productized.
Can partners get Sovereign isolation?
Sovereign/Citadel exist as dedicated/air-gapped tiers in docs/PRICING.md — talk to us via the waitlist; not self-serve.
